QLD Chapter Information

The Queensland Society for Sustainability and Environmental Engineering is a professional, vibrant and active branch.

Our goals are:-
  • Delivering Professional Development Opportunities for our members
  • Encouraging sustainable practices in all professions and engineering disciplines
  • Provide opportunities for networking an liaison between industry, students and government
  • Keeping members updated on new initiatives and developments in sustainability and environmental engineering
  • Providing a forum for dialogue on current issues relating to sustainability, the environment and climate change
 
Activities:-
  • Monthly technical seminars (2010 schedule) (2011 schedule)
    Please note that most seminars in 2012 will be held on the 3rd Tuesday each month
  • Annual student awards evening
  • Workshops, breakfasts, site visits, discussion forums on an as needed basis.
  • Provide comments on policy and discussion papers
  • Input into the SSEE National Journal – The Environmental Engineer
  • Represent QLD on the National SSEE Board and the Environmental College
