QLD Chapter Information
The Queensland Society for Sustainability and Environmental Engineering is a professional, vibrant and active branch.
Our goals are:-
- Delivering Professional Development Opportunities for our members
- Encouraging sustainable practices in all professions and engineering disciplines
- Provide opportunities for networking an liaison between industry, students and government
- Keeping members updated on new initiatives and developments in sustainability and environmental engineering
- Providing a forum for dialogue on current issues relating to sustainability, the environment and climate change
Activities:-
- Monthly technical seminars (2010 schedule)
- Annual student awards evening
- Workshops, breakfasts, site visits, discussion forums on an as needed basis.
- Provide comments on policy and discussion papers
- Input into the SSEE National Journal – The Environmental Engineer
- Represent QLD on the National SSEE Board and the Environmental College
The QLD Chapter AGM for 2009/10 was held on the 20 July 2010. The minutes of the meeting are attached.
