SUSTAINABILITY ASSESSMENT TRAINING - Policy Plans and Projects

Do you want to make a difference but are not sure how? Sustainability assessment is an emerging tool to direct decision making towards sustainability and deliver better outcomes for business and the community as a whole. In this course you will learn about the use of sustainability assessment as a both a regulatory tool that goes beyond traditional environmental impact assessment and an internal planning tool to transform organisational decision making and subsequent operations.

Australia is amidst a wildlife health crisis of an unprecedented scale.

Since the industrial revolution, a vast array of synthetic chemicals has been manufactured for a wide variety of uses by humans, including supporting increased agricultural production; industrial compounds; and pharmaceuticals for humans and other animals. However, the sometimes-disastrous impacts on the health of exposed biota and productivity of exposed ecosystems are seemingly being largely overlooked.
